The Mount Alvernia Annual Lighting Ceremony is on Sunday, December 11, 2016 (third Sunday of Advent) at 7PM. The ceremony includes Advent Vespers followed by an Advent Christmas concert presented by the Our Lady of Lourdes High School choir from Poughkeepsie, NY. The ceremony concludes with the annual lighting of Mount Alvernia. Refreshments will follow. All are welcome.
These lights will shine each day from December 11th to January 8th (Little Christmas or the Epiphany). We invite you to dedicate a light, symbol of faith and hope, in honor or in memory of a loved one, a family member or friend--living or deceased. They will be remembered during this time in each Mass that is celebrated and in the community prayer. A donation of $10.00 is asked for each person remembered to help defray the enormous cost of lights. To enroll your family member or friend, complete and return this form.
May His peace be with you and your family.
